Christmas Video Greeting:
About me...
I'm a husband, a dad, and a doctoral candidate at Asbury Theological Seminary.
I am also a pastor. Now, before you get all wigged out about that, let me assure you that I am quite like you. I don't like to be judged or preached at, and that is not what I'm about.
Actually, my passion in life is building community. I am intensely interested in helping you find true satisfaction and joy in living through forming deep and significant relationships in your family, neighborhood and work place, and especially with God.
I am willing to guess that you probably don't have someone in your life who wants to serve you in that way--coach you in building stronger relationships. That's my job, and I love it! And, I'd love to serve you in that way. I want to help you to discover the awesome potential that God created in you!
I am a pastor, and generally speaking, a pastor leads a church. I believe the local church should be a rich community of people trying to follow Jesus together. In following Jesus, those people should be interesting in two things: 1) growing in loving relationship with God and 2) growing in loving relationship with others within and without the church.
I think we need more churches like that!
As an ordained pastor in the United Methodist Church, I am working with the North Carolina Annual Conference to explore the potential for starting new churches - churches with a passion for community - in the Cleveland School Area of Johnston County, North Carolina.
